Spontaneous rupture of an ovarian artery aneurysm is an extremely rare event and is most oftenly associated with pregnancy. The actual incidence of ovarian artery rupture is unknown. The classical presentation of rupture of an ovarian artery is the sudden onset of abdominal pain with signs of hypovolemic shock without vaginal bleeding. Hereby, we present a case of spontaneous retroperitoneal hemorrhage caused by rupture of a left ovarian artery aneurysm
